The need to maintain a strong online presence and digital connection has never been greater, with COVID-19 acting as a catalyst for businesses and consumers.

Keeping this factor in mind, the region’s leading trade and investment promotion agency – Pacific Trade Invest (PTI) Australia, has reopened applications for its digital design program, which is a partnership with the platform world of visual communication – Canva.

“To meet this growing need, PTI Australia and Canva have joined forces to provide Pacific businesses with easy access to the Canva Pro digital design platform to streamline their marketing efforts, brand assets and more. Unlike many other design options, Canva offers a simple, cost-effective solution to empower businesses in the Pacific that don’t have the resources or funds to access traditional design expertise.

Insight Business Advisory CEO and Founder Sharyne Fong attended PTI Australia’s Introduction to Digital Design webinar in May 2021, prior to participating in the PTI Australia x Canva Digital Design program.

Ms. Fong said her participation in the digital design program taught her new skills and gave her the confidence to optimize her company’s online presence.

Since participating in the program, Ms. Fong has seen a 300% increase in new followers on her company’s LinkedIn account, her social media platform of choice.

According to PTI Australia, the highly selective scholarship program offers Pacific professionals access to the Canva Pro platform for one year, as well as tailored training to improve their familiarity with the platform and their digital design skills. .

Now in its second consecutive year, the PTI Australia X Canva collaboration is the first of its kind in the Pacific, connecting the simplicity of Canva’s design platform to businesses in the Pacific region through the PTI Australia network.

The fellowship is open to all business professionals from Pacific Islands Forum countries, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New -Caledonia, Niue, Palau, Papua New Guinea and Samoa. , Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. Employer approval is required if successful.

Participation in the Digital Design program is free and lasts for 12 months, with participants receiving access to Canva Pro, valued at A$215 (F$332), as well as live training sessions via Zoom.
