NEICTI organizes a Telcoms networking workshop for 300 young people from the North East

A youth-led non-governmental organization, the North East ICT Initiative, NEICTI, is set to hold its “First North East Telecommunications and Networks Workshop”.

TechDigest has learned that NEICTI is organizing the workshop in partnership with the National Information Development Agency (NITDA), Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Galaxy Backbone, MTN, Airtel and 9mobile, among the companies.

The organization’s project manager, Mr. Abdulrahman Barkindo Alkali, in an exclusive interview with TechDigest, said that the program is targeting 300 participants in the North Eastern states.
“We have 50 attendees from each state of the 6 Northeastern states, making it 300 attendees for the event,” he said.

Alkali, further explained that their organization seeks support from the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, NITDA, NCC, MTN and Airtel, for the success of the event.

“We are requesting the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to provide each of our participants with a laptop.

“Additionally, we implore Galaxy Backbone to help us provide resource people, while MTN, Glo and Airtel should help us with educational materials and Mi-fi, among other welfare items,” he said. he declares.

Mr. Barkindo Alkali appreciated the support of Gombe State Government and NITDA North East Zone for providing accommodation and training room for their workshop participants.
