HYANNIS – Cape Cod Women’s Association (CCWA), Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP) and SCORE Cape Cod & the Islands are teaming up to present the inaugural Cape Cod Women’s Business Summit on Tuesday, May 10 at Cape Codder Resort & Spa, 8 am – 5 p.m.
The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod is the main sponsor of the one-day event, “Power Moves for Powerful Women”. The summit will include nine educational sessions with leading experts, two motivational speakers, an exhibit hall for sponsors, resource partners and women-owned businesses, and an end-of-day networking event.
The program consists of three “Power Tracks” for women at different stages of their careers: aspiring entrepreneurs, women in business and women in leadership positions. Each track includes three sessions designed to share best practices and develop “power skills” in leadership, marketing, communication, growth management, and finance.
Cindy Solomon, Founder and CEO of The Courageous Leadership Institute, will host the morning with her keynote address, “Courageous Leadership for Women.” Solomon is nationally recognized for her sharp mind and forward-thinking leadership style. Its customers include industry leaders such as Cisco, Pfizer, Dow, Google, UPS and Amazon. She is the author of two books: The Rules of Woo and Creating a Culture of Courage: The Courage Challenge Workbook.
Julie Brown, a networking and relationship building expert, will end the day on a powerful note with her keynote address, “Networking Powered by Neuroscience”. Brown is the author of This S*** Works: A No-Nonsense Guide to Networking Your Way to More Friends, More Adventures, and More Success, as well as the host of This Sh!t Works, a podcast dedicated to everything . Business development.
Ayanna Parent, Harwichport author, CEO and founder of B FREE Wellness, will be the emcee.

The conference is designed to reach a wide range of female entrepreneurs, business owners and professional leaders who are looking for individual strategies for success and ways to connect with each other, Mullaly said.
